Oh, I just adore Christmas markets in those parts of Europe. They just do it so well. And with the Alps as a backdrop, who could resist. Love your photos!

They do it amazingly well, don’t they? A Christmas market in Northern Europe is nothing like the imitations you see in the UK for example. They really are something special. And the setting of Innsbruck makes it that much more magical I think.

One word! SOLD!!! I regularly go to Austria as I have family there. I’ve been to the Swarovski Factory which was amazing – my fave jewellery, but never yet been into Innsbruck centre. Would love to go in the run up to Christmas! Looks so gorgeous!

Thanks so much, Tilly. That’s great to hear! If you go to Austria regularly anyway, you’ll just have to make your way to Innsbruck. It’s insanely pretty and the Christmas market there was so special. I’d love to make it a yearly occurrence.

This is just wonderful! I was just telling Tim that we must find our way to visiting some of these markets. So magical!

It really was wonderful, Hilary. I had so often dreamed about visiting these markets so there was the danger of it not living up to my expectations – but it was incredible.
